Mark is a member of eventIMPACTS Steering Group, a collaborative project between UK major events agencies designed to provide a toolkit for event organisers to measure the impacts of events.
Mark works with a range of partners across the international cultural and sporting event portfolios to develop existing events and bring new major events to Scotland. This includes planning for Glasgow's role as a host city in the UEFA EURO 2020 football championships and bidding to secure a package of four European and World Curling Championships between 2016 - 2020. He also works with Scottish destinations to develop their cultural events offer.
Previously Mark was Tourism Development Manager at Liverpool City Council, member of the team that delivered the successful European Capital of Culture 2008 programme.
