Visma, the Norway-based business software company, will end its title sponsorship of the Ski Classics, the Europe-based long-distance cross-country skiing series, after the ongoing 2021-22 season finishes, the series has announced today.

The cooperation between Visma and W sportsmedia, the Stockholm-based sports marketing agency that manages the series, began in 2015 and has remained intact for the last seven seasons but will not be renewed after this season finishes on April 9 in Ylläs-Levi, Finland.

The last renewal between Ski Classics and Visma came in October 2019.

David Nilsson, chief executive of Ski Classics, said: “Visma has been an important partner for Ski Classics the last seven seasons and their presence has contributed to the development of the tour and the sport.”

Merete Hverven, Visma’s chief exec, added: “We are both proud and thankful to have had the opportunity to be title sponsor of the Ski Classics for the past seven seasons. We have had a long and fruitful partnership, and together we have created positive experiences between our brand, the skiers, the audience, and our partners and customers.”

Brands interested in striking partnerships with Ski Classics should contact helene.soderlund@wsportsmedia.com.

Nilsson added, on this front: “With the increased interest in Ski Classics that we now see at all levels internationally, we believe it will be a unique opportunity for new partners to enter the world of long-distance skiing.”
