A First on European Television - LIVE Surfing on Eurosport 2

In celebration of the 20th edition of the Surf Rip Curl Pro WQS Series, Eurosport 2's production team will be on the beach at Hossegor, (Landes, France) to bring viewers LIVE action from the most mythic European surfing competition in history, never before broadcast in Europe.

The Rip Curl Pro Series is the highlight of the world surfing tour and the only Super Series event on the ASP professional tour. The competition should draw some of the world's greatest surfing geniuses and ensure a breathtaking viewing experience.

In an exclusive and festive atmosphere, Jean-Patrick Mothes, presenter of Eurosport 2's extreme sports magazine, Yoz, will be at the heart of the action to interview some of the world's greatest former and current surfing champions such as Tom Curren, Mick Fanning, Rob Machado as well as various other legends who will share with viewers the highs and lows of big-wave surfing.

This summer, Hossegor is the world surfing capital with this 20th edition of the Rip Curl Pro. Since its creation in 1987, the competition has continued to fascinate not only devoted surfing followers but millions of fans across all generations.  Eurosport 2 will retrace the history of the event and bring viewers the most thrilling images from some of the most treacherous waves off the Hossegor coast.
