World Archery partners with GPS performance to deliver sponsorship programme

Archery - 05 Dec 2014

The Lausanne-based company will cater for World Archery’s existing sponsors and look to expand the federation’s partnership portfolio.

Mindful of the need for a dedicated and expert team to lead its sponsorship activities as it continues to grow around the globe, World Archery searched for a professional partner.

GPS Performance was chosen for its extensive experience in the sports marketing, event management and sponsorship industries. Archery joins sports such as skiing, rowing, equestrian, cycling, tennis and golf in the company’s portfolio.

The business was established in 2000 by Ralph KREIGER and has an excellent reputation in sports for its work with top athletes, events and federations.

Previously, World Archery’s marketing strategy was delivered by an in-house TV and Marketing Director. Long-time employee Didier MIEVILLE left the organisation in Octoberto pursue a career closer to home.

"World Archery is starting a new approach towards sponsorship and we are pleased to work with the team at GPS Performance," said World Archery President Prof Dr Ugur ERDENER.

"For World Archery to reach a higher level in marketing and sponsorship we need an external partner. GPS Performance brings experience from within the sponsorship world and we are convinced that they are the perfect match for our growing sport."

GPS Performance will begin working with World Archery’s current partners, which include official airline Turkish Airlines, official car Kia Motors, Swiss watch brand Longines, clothing manufacturer Fila and SporToto, immediately.

Over the course of the next year, the company will look at expanding the federation’s sponsorship programme.

A key on-going goal of World Archery is to find a title sponsor for its international Archery World Cup circuit, into its 10th anniversary year in 2015.

All enquiries regarding World Archery sponsorship should now be directed to Ralph KRIEGER at GPS Performance: r.krieger@gps-performance.com
