Fight Sports reloads with back-to-back heavyweight live events
As Live World Class Championship Boxing resumes from a several month layoff, Fight Sports returns to the action with back-to-back Live Events taking place on August 15th and August 22nd, including some of the top heavyweights in the sport looking to position themselves as the next top contenders for the World Heavyweight Title.
First, on August 15th, Fight Sports will broadcast the WBC Super Middleweight World Championship featuring undefeated titleholder David Benavidez (22-0) defending his crown against power-punching challenger Roamer Alexis Angulo (26-1). In the cofeature, top 10 Heavyweight Otto Wallin (20-1) of Sweden, who recently gave Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury one of the toughest fights of his career, returns to the ring to take on Travis Kauffman (32-3).
Fight Sports will be broadcasting this event Live in over 30 countries throughout Europe and Asia, specifically throughout the Nordic region including Otto Wallin’s home country of Sweden, as well as in Spain, Indonesia, Singapore, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, and many others.
Next, on August 22nd from the UK, the WBC Interim Heavyweight World Championship will be on the line as two of the world’s best heavyweights square off when Dillian Whyte (27-1) meets former Heavyweight World Champion Alexander Povetkin (35-2). The winner of this bout will likely become a mandatory challenger against WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury in the coming year.
