BVB Launch Japanese Website Version
Borussia Dortmund started their Japanese website on Wednesday. It’s the second official foreign-language website provided by the current German league and cup champion in addition to the English version. From now on, Borussia Dortmund’s fast-growing fan base in the Far East will be able to receive all the latest news and information on the team and this season’s competitions on www.bvb.jp.
“Even though Shinji Kagawa moved to Premier League club Manchester United, the interest in Borussia Dortmund continues to grow in Japan. With the Japanese website, these fans and sympathisers can now share the fascination of Borussia Dortmund in their native language,” says Carsten Cramer, BVB’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
In addition, BVB continue to maintain relationships and partnerships in Japan. The club’s one-hour show “BVB World”, for example, is broadcast once a week by the television station TV Asahi, and the Evonik Football School currently offers courses in Tokyo and Yokohama for the first time ever. Borussia also have close ties and regular communication with J-league club Cerezo Osaka. All these activities are supported by BVB’s sponsor Yanmar, a Japanese company which enhance their leverage in the domestic market by means of this partnership.
