Daktronics Unveiled as British Swimming Partner
Daktronics are primarily known for their LED video display boards but the partnership and endorsement of the governing body will provide Daktronics with a platform to promote their timing equipment to facility operators and pool architects as well as giving access to top athletes who will use and test the equipment as it develops further.
The partnership will also include the supply of two fully portable scoring solutions for British Water Polo with each set comprising a scoreboard, timer and shot clocks. These will be wireless based and of real benefit to the sport for competitions and tournaments.
Daktronics will also be looking at a scoring system for synchronised swimming while providing full training for staff and volunteers in the use of all of the equipment across all disciplines.
Daktronics equipment is already installed at the new Picton pool in Liverpool so Britain's swimmers will have the opportunity to put it through its paces at the ASA National Championships in July.
British Swimming Commercial Director Katie Brazier is looking forward to working with Daktronics.
