"We are happy to allocate our biggest event to Denmark. I am sure that the tournament will be organized at a very high level. With Badminton Denmark we will have a great partner who will try to seek new standards in organizing European Championships. That fits very well with our ambitions to continuously increase the standard of the event," says Brian Agerbak, General Secretary of Badminton Europe.
"It is again a fantastic opportunity to present our sport with international focus in Denmark after the successful World Championships in 2014. We will work hard to give the spectators a great experience and we want to present our sport in an innovative manner," says Rene Toft, President of Badminton Denmark.
The national sporting event organisation, Sport Event Denmark, is also pleased with the awarding of the event to Denmark

Following the successful World Championships in Denmark last summer it is a pleasure to announce the European Championships 2017 to be staged in the dynamic Triangle Area. At the same time this is a brilliant window in order to attract another world championship in the coming years,” says Lars Lundov, CEO Sport Event Denmark.
