ESPN STAR Sports Promotes Tom McVeigh
He remains based in Singapore with region-wide responsibility for all operations and technology matters related to the 13 ESPN and STAR Sports channels across Asia and will continue to report directly to Jamie Davis, Managing Director of the network.
McVeigh joined ESPN STAR Sports in November 1998 as Director of Operations before being promoted to Vice President of Operations and Engineering in December 2000. In his new role as Senior Vice President, he will assume an expanded role, which includes the technical and operational development of several strategic new business initiatives.

Tom's broadcasting career spanning two decades began with Television New Zealand (TVNZ) where he worked for several years in transmission, microwave system maintenance, studio installation, vision/pulse maintenance as well as MCR Operations. He then assumed the position of Technical Director before being promoted to Supervisor of the combined group of Technical Producers and Technical Directors. Not long after, he was appointed Head of Operations TVNZ and later became General Manager Operations for the company.
Tom leads the largest staff base within the ESPN STAR Sports network and heads a management team that is responsible for Engineering, Transmission, Studio Operations, Satellite Operations, Editing, Commercial Traffic, Facilities as well as Media Content Operations
