Euroleague Basketball Restructures Communications Staff
Barcelona, Spain, 13 September 2006: Euroleague Basketball announced on Wednesday the re-organization of its communications department, including the incorporation of several new professionals dedicated to serving the press and public with improved informational services. The new structure of the department continues to be headed by Ferran Marquez, the commications director. The media section of the communications department welcomes two new assistants: Kirsten Haack, formerly of the National Basketball Association, and Diego Fernandez, formerly with the ULEB Cup operations. Frank Lawlor, previously the web director and editor-in-chief, has become editorial director for both on-line and press communications. Edu Roca assumes duties as webmaster of Euroleague.net and ULEBcup.com, the official Internet sites of both Euroleague Basketball competitions. Frankie Sachs, formerly the sports editor of The Jerusalem Post, arrives to join Javier Gancedo as web editor, along with Romano Petitti, who is also the media guide editor for both competitions. Steve Kirk will continue in charge of the Euroleague Newsletter and technological interfaces for the press.
