Eurosport 2 Prepares Full Coverage of 2007 ULEB Cup Final
Eurosport 2 will produce the game with nine television cameras, in order to provide viewers with all the thrills and excitement of the action that will decide the 2007 ULEB Cup champion. The final match is between two teams that are not strangers in Charleroi, as Real Madrid lost the 2004 Final to Hapoel Jerusalem while Lietuvos Rytas captured the title one year later by defeating Makedonikos from Greece.
"Eurosport 2 is really delighted to be the Euroleague's pan-European partner," Laurent-Eric Le Lay, Eurosport's Chairman and CEO, said. "With the broadcast of the entire ULEB Cup and production of 'The Euroleague Basketball Show', a one-of-a-kind weekly magazine which follows the up-to-date news about Euroleague Basketball competitions, Eurosport 2 is more than ever essential for basketball fans throughout Europe."
"Thanks to the collaboration and partnership between ULEB Cup and Eurosport 2 we are completely sure that the coverage of the ULEB Cup Final will be the best ever, as Eurosport 2 is facing this event with the highest of motivation," Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball's TV Director, said. "Having a partner like Eurosport 2, which has broadcast 56 games and more than 400 hours of ULEB Cup action during the last year, allows the competition to improve in quality and distribution. We are very proud of this improvement, which allows five continents - Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Australia - to follow this Final."
Currently, the 2007 ULEB Cup Final will also be shown live by LTV in Lithuania, La Sexta in Spain and Al Jazeera Sports in the Middle East.
