Extreme Signs Deals with KDG and Activision

LONDON October 1st, 2004 Extreme Sports Channel has announced two new deals, the first being with German cable operator, Kabel Deutschland.

With broadcast commencing immediately, Extreme becomes part of KDG's newly launched digital offering 'Kabel Digital Home' along with 30 other sport, music, film and entertainment channels. KDG is the major network operator
in Germany, supplying in around 10 million homes in total, the highest number for a single operator in Europe.

Extreme Sports Channel's European Managing Director, Phil Jones said, 'It's great to be extending our reach across Germany with KDG. This is a really key territory for Extreme and we're all excited about the possibilities this deal represents.'

Roland Steindorf, CEO of Kabel Deutschland added, 'Kabel Deutschland is pleased to welcome Extreme Sports Channel as a valuable addition to our new Kabel Digital Home package.'

Extreme latest viewers will be able to receive Extreme Sports Channel in the German language from launch.

In a separate agreement, Extreme Sports Channel has also announced an autumn sponsorship deal with video games publisher Activision, which will see its latest release, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, sponsor the forthcoming
Crazy B*st*rds series.

Airing throughout October and November, the Crazy B*st*rds series features a selection of celebrity screwballs such as Johnny Knoxville, Steve O, Wee Man and the Dirty Sanchez boyos before they were famous.

Activision's integrated sponsorship campaign on Extreme includes a one hour programme covering the Tony Hawk computer game phenomenon, an EPK, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 branded bumpers in and out of Crazy B*st*rds programming, brand visibility on TV promos, as well as on-air, on-line competitions. All of the elements are to be produced in-house.
