FFT Prolongs Partnership With EBU For Another 4 Years

Geneva, 4 July 2007– As a result of an open tender procedure, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has chosen the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) as its broadcast partner for the Roland Garros International Tennis Championships 2008-2011 in Europe.

This decision extends the longstanding partnership between the organisations and also ensures extensive free-to-air coverage for European viewers for the next 4 years.

The EBU is delighted to be entrusted with the distribution of this important Grand Slam Tournament to the widest European audience and to provide FFT with a secured commitment for the upcoming tournaments.

EBU sports acquisitions include European and World events such as the Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, the World Championships in Athletics, the Skiing (Alpine and Nordic) World Championships, the Tour de France, and many other major competitions.
