FINA World Aquatics Convention 2014 - Sport and business 'meet' in Doha (QAT)

Lausanne (SUI), May 9, 2014 - The 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention is taking place from November 29 – December 1, 2014 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha (Qatar). For the first time, the Convention will be taking place in conjunction with the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), scheduled on December 3-7, also in Qatar’s capital at the Hamdan Aquatics Centre.

Sports business industry leaders and the FINA Aquatics family are set to benefit from the consecutive timing of these two events. The new approach aims to strengthen the connection between international competitions and those organisations and businesses involved in the development of Aquatics around the world.

Running the Convention in conjunction with the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) will allow the key stakeholders of our sport to maximise both events in unison," Dr. Maglione added. 

The FINA World Aquatics Convention provides a platform for the global Aquatics family and business leaders to come together to network and share best practices, encouraging greater engagement in aquatic sports and elite performance across all FINA disciplines. New features to this year’s FINA World Aquatics Convention include the FINA Extraordinary Congress and the FINA Swimming Golden Coaches Clinic.
