FIS logistics partner Conceptum Sport Logistics to attend 49th FIS Congress
Official congress of the International Ski Federation (FIS) to take place in Barcelona
Frankfurt/Barcelona, June 4, 2014 – The German cultural project logistics company Conceptum Sport Logistics (CSL – www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com) has been the official partner of the International Ski Federation (FIS – www.fis-ski.com) since 2013. The federation’s 49 International Ski Congress is set to take place in Barcelona at the start of June this year. Competitions aside, the event is one of the highlights in the winter sports calendar and has already been hosted four times in Spain in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI – www.rfedi.es). The Ski congress is playing an extremely important role for the future of ski sports - especially regarding the development of the FIS disciplines and the strategic direction of the FIS, with all its facets, being successful now and also in the following years in a modern and innovative way. Furthermore the venues of the FIS World Championships for 2018/2019 will be defined.
Conceptum Sport Logistics is taking part in the congress in Barcelona as the official logistics partner of FIS and FIS Travel Service AG. Last year, the International Ski Federation put its logistics processes for Freestyle and Snowboard World Championships into the hands of CSL. The partnership with the logistics company, which is based near Frankfurt, has been confirmed for the foreseeable future, after the deal was sealed during the IF Forum attended by international sports federations in Lausanne. The challenging logistics requirements of the International Ski Federation cover all events in the field of cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, alpine skiing, freestyle and snowboarding.
Conceptum Sport Logistics has also been working with FIS’s own travel agency, FIS Travel Service AG, since last year. "The partnership has already been put to the test, notably during the Games in Sochi. As logistics specialists, we take transportation just as seriously as athletes take competitions. Instead of ending once the goods or athletes are on the road, our work isn’t done until they reach their final destinations!" says Sebastian Stahl, managing director of CSL. The company, which has subsidiaries around the world, specialises in finding solutions to the challenges of transporting sports and team equipment to global competition sites for both winter sports and a host of other disciplines.
Conceptum Sport Logistics (www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com) has come to lead the global market in tailor-made transport solutions for sports equipment and other sensitive loads in cultural project logistics. The logistics company's team serves a variety of national Olympic committees as well as national and international sports associations around the world; the company's extensive experience and know-how provide ideal solutions in transporting and handling sports equipment such as bobsleds, boats and much more. Conceptum Sport Logistics' offices in Germany (Frankfurt), Switzerland (Lausanne), Brazil (Rio), United Kingdom (London) and Canada (Ottawa) have brought the company close to its customers and venues for genuinely local service. Ocean freight, air freight and road haulage – Conceptum Sport Logistics offers a comprehensive service, operating in more than fifteen countries with more than a hundred and fifty partners in international freight traffic.
