FISU signs conventions with IFF and IHF
LAUSANNE - Lausanne was the place to be for the International Sports Federations at the occasion of the 2014 SportAccord IF Forum held in the Beau Rivage Palace. It was at this occasion that Eric Saintrond, FISU Secretary General/CEO and Paulo Ferreira, World University Championships Director met with two of FISU’s partner International Federations, namely the International Floorball Federation (IFF) and the International Handball Federation (IHF).
Floorball has been organised for the first time out of Europe this year, with Singapore hosting the best student teams in the world and Handball took place in Portugal and will be for the first time at the programme of the Summer Universiade next year in Gwangju.
The collaboration conventions signed between FISU and IFF and FISU and IHF are part of the agreements FISU intends to sign with all its partner International Federations in the frame of the development of the FISU events and of the sports concerned within the university public.
Both conventions were signed by Eric Saintrond and the respective Presidents of IHF and IFF, Mr. Hassan Moustafa and Mr. Tomas Eriksson.
The next WUC Floorball will be held in Porto, Portugal while the next events in university handball will be at the Universiade in Gwangju, Korea (2015) and the WUC 2016 in Malaga (ESP).
