Five Year Jail Sentences for Importing Sports Drugs
SYDNEY, March 16---The Australian Minister for Justice and Customs, Ms. Amanda Vanstone, has announced tough new laws to curb sports drugs importation. People found importing illegal substances into the country will find themselves facing heavy penalties leading up to a five year jail sentence and possibly a fine of up to A$100,000.
The Minister confirmed that with the Olympics just around the corner, Australia is serious about taking on the fight against doping and starting to really lay down the law.
