Gold Ice To Compete in France At International Synchronized Skating Competition

OTTAWA, ON: Gold Ice, the 2004 Canadian Junior Champions in synchronized skating, are set to compete at the 2005 French Cup, an international synchronized skating competition, which will be held Feb. 3-6 in Rouen, France.

Gold Ice, who train in Brampton, Ont., won the bronze medal at the 2004 World Challenge Cup for Juniors. They also competed at the 2004 Skate Canada International Synchronized Skating Competition, where they captured the gold medal in the junior event.

Cynthia Alepin, who now lives in Wilmslow Cheshire, England, will be the Canadian official at the event. The contact number during the event is 011 33 2 35 526 952. Results will be posted on Skate Canada’s official Web site at http://www.skatecanada.ca/ as soon as they become available.
