IEC Gives Asian Badminton a Boost

Chinese Taipei Badminton Association (CTBA) is the latest association to exclusively appoint IEC in Sports as their television coordinators for international broadcast rights.  The cooperation covers the Yonex Chinese Taipei Open taking place from Sept 17-23 2007 and is for an initial three year term.

IEC has already confirmed live broadcast of semi-finals and finals in selected Asian markets including Malaysia, China, Hong Kong S.A.R and Philippines. Highlights will be aired on 14 television broadcasters across Asia and Europe on "World of Badminton."

"We are delighted to appoint IEC in Sports to expand the media visibility for this prestigious event" said Tsai Hung Peng, Secretary General of Chinese Taipei Badminton Association.

"IEC now works with all the major badminton associations in the region, including China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Macau S.A.R, Thailand as well as the Asian Championships. We are delighted to work with Chinese Taipei to further promote their excellent event" said Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports.

IEC has been appointed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF)  as the exclusive television coordinators for the newly launched Super Series. In additional also represents the European and North American broadcast media rights for all major BWF events, including the World Championships, Thomas & Uber Cups and Sudirman Cup.
