ISF Anticipating New African Member
International Softball Federation (ISF) President Don Porter has revealed that the world governing body has received an application for membership from an African country. Guinea has filed documentation with the ISF which, if approved, would make their national governing body for softball the 128th member of the ISF. Their status is currently pending while the Executive Board reviews their application. Guinea would become the 18th ISF member country from Africa.
In addition, Mr. Porter stated that several other countries in Western Africa are contemplating applying for ISF membership. The ISF President expressed optimism in seeing the number of countries grow to 130 and beyond in the very near future. The complete list of ISF member countries is available online on the official ISF website at www.internationalsoftball.com/english/the_isf/directory_member.asp.
