JTA wins Queen's Award for Enterprise
UK’s most prestigious business accolade for leading sports communications firm
London, England; 22 April 2014: JTA has received a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade (announced yesterday, on Her Majesty The Queen’s 88th birthday), in recognition of the company’s impressive recent growth in revenue and number of clients from outside the UK.
A Queen’s Award, which is awarded by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister and his Advisory Committee, is designed to recognise and encourage the achievements of businesses in the UK and is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a UK company. JTA is based in Kent and London and is one of the world’s leading strategic brand building, communications and international relations consultancies for clients in the Olympic Movement and the related world of global sport. JTA clients include the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee, the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU), the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).
JTA was specifically awardedThe Queen’s Award for the company’s increased exports as a percentage of turnover from 47%-68% over the last three years and for achieving overseas earnings growth in international sport, in particular the Olympic Movement. The Award reflects the consultancy’s rapid growth in markets including Russia, Turkey, across Central Asia, Korea and Taiwan. JTA now enjoys a turnover of £2.5 million (2013) with 16 staff in three countries.
