New Sponsor for Grassroots Rugby League

Leading recruitment company Parkhouse Recruitment have reached agreement with the Rugby Football League to become a sponsor of the sport at grass roots level.

The Derby-based organisation have a network of 22 branches throughout the UK and specialise in industrial staffing. The agreement is valued at a significant five figure sum and covers a one year period with an option for a further year.

It means that Parkhouse Recruitment will become title sponsors of the Student Rugby League, associate partners of the Total RL.com Conference and the shirt sponsors of the match officials in both competitions.

Parkhouse will also become main sponsors of this year's amateur Rugby League Four Nations tournament and the England Lionhearts team who compete in it.

Commenting on the agreement, the Rugby Football League's Director of Development and Marketing Gary Tasker said: 'We welcome Parkhouse Recruitment as a partner of the game and we feel certain that their support will assist the further development and growth of Rugby League throughout the UK.

‘The fact that such a professional and forward thinking recruitment business as Parkhouse Recruitment are becoming a sponsor of grass roots Rugby League demonstrates the vibrancy and strength of the sport at this level.'

Tasker added: 'It is highly gratifying to be entering into a partnership with such a prestigious company and we look forward to developing the relationship further.'

David Crabb , Sales and Marketing Director of Parkhouse Recruitment, also commented: 'We are excited about the chance to support the development of youth sports awareness throughout the UK, and help promote brand awareness throughout the country for Parkhouse Recruitment alongside our branch network.

'We feel that we will be able to do this both nationally and in local communities within an exciting aspect of Rugby League.'

The TotalRL.com Conference Competition kicks off on Saturday 1st May 2004. The amateur Four Nations championship opens on Saturday 15th May 2004 when current champions Wales face Ireland at Cardiff Athletic Stadium (ko 11.00am).
