Oddset to Sponsor Bobsleigh World Championship
Zug, Switzerland, 18 February 2004 -- ODDSET, the sports betting arm of the German state lottery system, has signed an agreement to become the title sponsor of the upcoming bobsleigh championship in Königssee, Germany (16 – 29 February 2004).
The sponsorship deal was concluded with Infront Sports & Media, the exclusive Marketing Consultant for the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (FIBT – Fédération de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing).
The sponsorship package includes a considerable number of advertising opportunities with a dominant television presence, as well as an exclusive association with the event name – 'ODDSET FIBT World Championship'. ODDSET is committed to the success of the event and will be running a nationwide lottery encompassing all of the 27,000 lottery points and offering 150 lucky winners the chance to travel to the Bobsleigh World Championships. To round off their multi-faceted sponsorship engagement ODDSET will also be making an on-site betting service available to spectators allowing them to bet on the individual Bobsleigh World Championship events.

The ODDSET FIBT World Championship will be held as a combined event for the first time (womens 2-man, men’s 2- and 4-man as well as women’s and men’s skeleton). The Championship promises to attract unprecedented interest with live broadcasts of the event on ARD / ZDF and Eurosport over two weekends. The sponsorship agreement signed by ODDSET, follows their successful sponsorship of the 2003 women’s world championship which took place in Winterberg, Germany.
