2016 FIM GA & Gala - Save the date! 26 - 27 November in Berlin

Motorcycling - 05 Apr 2016

The 2016 edition of the Gala Ceremony of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) will take place in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday 27 November 2016.

The two-wheel community will gather there to celebrate and applaud the achievements of motorcycling’s finest and fastest riders. This season’s wide array of FIM Champions will take to the stage alongside invited legends from the various disciplines for an award ceremony that will be attended by key industry stakeholders and media.

The Gala Ceremony will follow the FIM General Assembly on Saturday 26 November 2016, in which delegates representing the 113 National Motorcycling Federations from around the world will be taking part.

Berlin is the capital of Germany and one of its 16 states. With a population of 3.5 million people, it is the second most populated city in the European Union. Located in the north-east of the country on the banks of the rivers Spree and Havel, it is the centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Region.

FIM President Vito Ippolito said: “I am truly happy to announce that the FIM Gala Ceremony will come to Berlin this year. The FIM Gala Ceremony is very important for the FIM because it closes the sporting season in a delightful way by congratulating the world champions of all the motorcycling disciplines. Berlin is a beautiful city and will offer an exceptional backdrop for the annual gathering of the World of Motorcycling.”
