Prozone Secures Rights to Distribute Official UK Data
Prozone Sports, the market-leading performance analysis company, has acquired rights to distribute the official data from UK football leagues to overseas media clients for the 2012/13 season.
Including the right to distribute official data from the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and Scottish competitions, the agreement will enable Prozone to assist media clients with content activation through a range of media products including Match Centre, Live Monitor and a unique Fantasy Live platform which draws upon an enhanced level of performance data and offers users a rich in-game experience.
Utilising its global network of distribution channels, Prozone will use the data rights to build upon its core competencies of interpreting and visualising information in the most rich and engaging ways possible. This will be the first time that media clients will have the ability to integrate the official Premier League data into Prozone’s applications and draw on the company’s expertise.
Thomas Schmider, CEO of AMISCO Group, said, “We are very proud to partner with PA to extend the distribution of official Premier League data through our strong international network. With 15 years of experience servicing the biggest football clubs in the world, we look forward to further demonstrating our capacity to deliver the most intelligent and insightful football analysis to the media.”
Andy Rice, Managing Director of Press Association Sport Commercial, said, “We are delighted to be teaming up with Prozone to strengthen our reseller group. Their expertise in the area of performance data makes them a perfect partner to take a new level of Premier League tracking data to the media. PA Sport continues to introduce deeper and more engaging ways of analysing football data, with Prozone adding a new raft of products and coaching insight.”
The agreement is set to add further value to Prozone’s growing list of media clients and accelerate the business’ move into overseas media markets.
