Red Bull Extreme Snowboard Contest Postponed
Dangerous conditions on the slopes of the Bec des Rosses due to an over accumulation of snow that might cause avalanches have resulted in the temporary postponement of the competition. The organizers have taken this decision in order to ensure the safety of competitors.
The 20 riders are ready in Verbier, full of energy and enthousiasm – on standby and ready for the competition when conditions permit. They will be available for interviews, autograph signing and photo shoots.
The weatherman has predicted a sunny, balmy day. All side events will take place as previously anticipated in the Park: professional BMX in-line skating and skateboarding demonstrations on the ramp; a climbing wall open to the general public manned by professional guides; a 40 square meter screen projecting the colour and excitement of Xtreme; and the dynamic music of DJ Couleur 3 to lend a rollicking atmosphere to 'rock' the resort and provide many opportunities for interaction with the competitors.
