Séverine Hubert Promoted to Managing Director of JTA
‘Sevi’ pivotal in independent sports communications specialists’ rapid growth
Kent, United Kingdom: 14 December 2011: JTA, one of the communications industry’s leading independent sports specialists, has promoted Séverine ‘Sevi’ Hubert to Managing Director following a year of significant growth for the consultancy – especially in Russia.
The promotion was announced today by Jon Tibbs, Founder and CEO of JTA, and sees Hubert move up from International Relations Director to Board Director, with responsibility for overseeing all client relationships and ensuring a sustainable development strategy. The news comes after a record year for JTA, with an anticipated 45% growth in revenues and profits in 2011.
Commenting on the appointment, Jon Tibbs said:
“Sevi’s promotion is richly deserved – she has helped to spearhead JTA’s impressive evolution over the last five years, whilst still maintaining a hands-on approach for our clients. Sevi played a key role in London’s victorious bid to host the 2017 IAAF World Championships last month and she has also helped to lead our expansion in Russia. This year we have added three new high-profile Russian clients to our long-standing relationship with the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee: Bosco, the exciting fashion and lifestyle label; the Russian Olympic Committee; and the Russian International Olympic University.”
Hubert has been working with Jon Tibbs since 2005. Born in Paris, she is a graduate of Edinburgh University and University College London with a Masters in Cognitive Neuropsychology. Hubert’s entire professional career has centred on sport and she has now established herself as one of the most respected communications and international relations professionals in the Olympic Movement.
Hubert said:
“This is a great honour and very exciting. JTA has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and it has been a fascinating journey. We work with some of the most prestigious organisations in the world of sport and I look forward to playing a big part in JTA’s continued development and progress.”
JTA was formed as a consultancy in 2006 and was instrumental in the success of Sochi 2014, Russia’s successful bid to hold its first ever Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The consultancy was also heavily involved in the creation of Generations For Peace, the global peace through sport NGO founded by HRH Prince Feisal of Jordan and one of only two such organisations officially recognised by the IOC. JTA extended its work beyond the Olympic Movement earlier this year with its appointment as corporate communications consultancy to Manchester United.
