Ski World Cup Set for more than 2500 hours of programming
Media Partners Group, holder of the Ski World Cup TV rights, announces record television exposure, on a world-wide level, for the 2002-2003 edition of the Ski World Cup with more than 2500 hours of television coverage.
In Great Britain, Channel Four has tripled the visibility that was guaranteed last season to the Ski World Cup with the acquisition of the rights of 30 live contests.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where ski is the absolute leading sport, television coverage is guaranteed of all Ski World Cup contests.
Exposure has doubled in France thanks to Eurosport France and Sport Plus. Four times as much exposure in Sweden with 40 live contests.
The highest visibility, thanks to the agreements with the larger televisions stations, in Russia, Poland, Serbia, ex Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia and Estonia.
The Ski World Cup increases its horizons thanks to the agreements with broadcasters in the United States, Canada, Japan and Korea along with confirmations of Norway and Finland. Winter sports coverage is almost certain in Australia and New Zeland
Italy is still waiting for an answer from RAI on the acquisition of the Ski World Cup rights and the television coverage of the first events of Ski World Cup coming soon are now at risk.
