Sponsorship Evaluation comes to Australia
Sponsorship and event research company SiS, celebrated seven years of business this month, with the announcement of a new office in Sydney, Australia.
James Paterson, formerly Commercial Manager of NSW Rugby, together with Australia's largest media monitoring firm, Media Monitors, have become partners in the new venture, having licensed the name, expertise and software from SiS Ltd. Paterson, who spent the last year based at SiS headquarters in the U.K., believes that research and evaluation is now a major issue within the Australian sponsorship and sports marketing industry. The arrival of SiS services could not be better timed, says Paterson.
Sports sponsorship expenditure exceeds AUS$600 million a year in Australia. The significance of this spend becomes apparent when one reflects this is not far off the same spend as the UK. The recent opening of SiS Australia brings SiS offices up to six around the globe. Other offices include Los Angeles, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, as well as the head office in Guildford, England. It has always been our aim to replicate what we have achieved in Europe says Managing Director of SiS Ltd Mark Cornish. The opening of SiS Australia and in particular the installation of our media evaluation system, is yet another step towards providing the international sponsorship community with a consistent, independent and authoritative measurement service on a local as well as global basis.
