Sportcal.com - The Sports Market 2007

Business - 17 Nov 2006

Sportcal.com is proud to announce The Sports Market 2007, (http://www.sportcal.com/smc) the second in what will become an annual series of conferences following on from the success of the first, held last January.

The event will take place at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in central London in the UK on Thursday 1st February, 2007.

The Sports Market 2007 is a unique one-day event that will provide an excellent opportunity for delegates to participate in a challenging and thought-provoking debate on the latest developments in the sports television and new media industry.

However, The Sports Market 2007 is more than just a conference, combining three lively, provocative panel debates on the top issues affecting the sports media rights industry with a genuine marketplace enabling industry executives to meet, exchange information and discuss business.

The spacious marketplace will contain meeting zones designated for different industry sectors to help you identify those people you want to meet with, while our industry experts will be on hand to talk to you about issues they will be discussing during their panel sessions. Branded market tables will be available for companies and organisations wishing to promote their presence at the market.

The format of the event is based on panel sessions with plenty of time set aside for networking in the marketplace.

Panel sessions will be held in a new, bigger and better, auditorium-style venue, BAFTA’s Princess Anne Theatre in the heart of central London.

Panellists include top names from international sports federations, broadcasters, new media operators and international sports agencies. See the right-hand bar of the conference website for an up-to-date list of confirmed speakers.

The panels will cover the latest sports industry and rights developments affecting: sports agencies/rights owners; broadcasting; and new media.

The event is aimed at executives from broadcasters, sports agencies, sponsorship agencies, sponsors, advertisers, event organisers, sports federations, new media companies, law firms, financial advisers and telecoms companies.

This year’s inaugural conference attracted senior executives from a wide range of international sports industry organisations, including: Supersport International, FA Premier League, FISA, NRK, Six Nations Committee, Eurosport, AIBA, MP Web, Calcio Marketing, Global Sportnet, Commonwealth Games Federation, ISAF, ESPN Classic Sport, ESPN International, Eurovision and EBU, IEC in Sports, FITA, BBC Sport, TWI, European Tour Productions, Olswang, RTE, Telewizja Polsat, RTI-Mediaset, Ladies European Tour, Northern Ireland Events, ITF, AMS, RTR, PeoSiebenSat.1, ZDF, Sportfive, Eutelsat, Red Mandarin, British Sky Broadcasting, Audiovisual Sport, ECB, Wige Media, IWSF, FISU, UCI, IAAF, Uefa, Premium TV, Euroleague Basketball, Globecast.

A special price of £495 per delegate place is available for anyone registering before 15th December 2006, a £100 discount on the full price.

There is also a special discount price of just £395 for all Sportcal.com subscribers.

Combined prices for delegate places and the hire of a branded table in the marketplace are also available.

A range of patrnership opportunities will also be available for organisations to ally themselves with this high-profile international event and promote their brand and services throughout the day.
