Ten Sports Signs Syndication Deal with Fox Sports
Business update on Ten Sports - sale of cricket content
8th April 2009: Taj TV Ltd., owners of Ten Sports – the Sub-continent’s # 1 sports channel - and the world’s largest producer of international cricket, have signed a multi-year, multi-platform syndication deal with Premier Media Group, owner and operators of FOX Sports and Australia’s leading pay TV sports broadcaster.
Under the agreement, Taj Television will syndicate to Fox Sports its entire portfolio of international cricket rights for the territory of Australia, which includes all international matches in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe, as well as the Hong Kong Sixes.
The syndication deal starts with the much-anticipated Australia tour of Pakistan, which will be played in the neutral territory of the United Arab Emirates. The two teams will battle it out in five One Day Internationals and one Twenty20 match in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
