“Beach soccer is more then just a fun sport; it brings people together. With the support of the Number One media agency in Asia we will be able to show the sport to the Asian community and make a huge step towards success,” said Alex Soriano, Head of Media & TV at BSWW.
Senior Vice President for Media at Total Sports Asia, Julian Jackson, added that “beach soccer offers great alternative viewing for football-hungry fans in Asia. The sandy surface requires players to possess excellent aerial ball skills and flair not ordinarily practiced nor seen in football. This makes fantastic TV viewing”.
Beach soccer focuses on some of the most spectacular aspects of modern football: skill, agility and the ability to score many goals. The spectacular action is encompassed in beach lifestyle and the irregular nature of the soft-sand playing surface lends itself to an entertaining style of play. The ball spends most of the time in the air in play and players are forced to improvise with moments of spectacular individual flair.

More About Beach Soccer:
Beach Soccer is played on a compact sand pitch measuring 28 x 37 meters. Players can shoot from virtually anywhere and ensuring that keepers are always well tested.
Each team plays with five players (four players plus the goal keeper) on each side with unlimited substitutions.
Games last three 12-minute periods; throw-ins and kick-ins mean the pace and flow of the game is unrelenting and in beach soccer there is always a winner, with the contest going down to three minutes of overtime followed by penalty kicks if the score is tied.
The live atmosphere watching beach soccer is accentuated during the three-minute breaks between periods when music, live acts and dancers keep the entertainment flowing.
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup garners the top beach soccer players in the world representing their countries and it receives exposure in more than 140 countries in all continents.
