BDO Hockey World Cup 2006 Live on EUROSPORT and EUROSPORT 2

After the Football World Cup and the World Equestrian Games, Germany is looking forward to the next sporting highlight. The Warsteiner HockeyPark in Mönchengladbach is Europe's biggest and most modern hockey stadium and will host the Men's BDO Hockey World Cup 2006 from 6 to 17 September. The twelve best nations worldwide are competing for the World Cup 2006 and Germany is not only hosting the tournament but trying to defend its 2002 World Cup title. Covering the event extensively, Eurosport and Eurosport 2 will broadcast 27 out of 42 matches LIVE.

The World Cup tournament is first played in two pools, A and B "everyone against each other". After completing the pool matches, Nr. 1 of Pool A plays Nr. 2 of Pool B and Nr. 2 of Pool A plays Nr. 1 of Pool B. The final will take place on 17 September.

The following pools will be competing:

Pool A: Australia - Spain - Pakistan - Argentina - New Zealand - Japan

Pool B: Netherlands - Germany - India - Korea - South Africa - England
