Vancouver 2010 to Provide Financial and Business Updates on October 25

Vancouver - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) will provide financial and business operations updates on October 25 through its annual financial report, followed by its annual progress update to the Vancouver Board of Trade.

As part of its commitment to public transparency and accountability VANOC issues financial reports on a quarterly basis, providing the public with financial results, operational updates, recent milestones and a look ahead to the next quarter.

VANOC's annual report, including a news release, management discussion and analysis and financial results, will be issued on vancouver2010.com at 8 am PST on October 25, 2006, followed by a 9:30 am PST media conference call to review the report. The teleconference call will feature Vancouver 2010 Chief Executive Officer John Furlong, Chief Financial Officer Rex McLennan and members of Vancouver 2010's executive team.

John Furlong will provide his annual progress update at a Vancouver Board of Trade luncheon at 12:15 pm PST which will provide a comprehensive update VANOC's progress and he will again be available to the media following his address.
