Stats Perform agrees six-year deal with GVC to boost new WTA partnership

Stats Perform, the international sports and data technology provider, has today entered a six-year agreement with UK’s largest gambling group GVC to boost its new betting data partnership with the WTA, the organiser of the top women’s tennis tour.
The agreement will involve GVC providing a new and exclusive official WTA tennis data service, which will enable in-play bets to be placed across GVC sportsbooks.
GVC, which will change its name to Entain on 10 December, owns sports gaming brands including bwin, Coral Crystalbet, Eurobet, Ladbrokes, Neds and Sportingbet. The group also has an interest in online bookmaker BetMGM, which is owned by Roar Digital, the sports betting and online gaming joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC.
The agreement follows this week’s announcement that Stats Perform has signed a six-year partnership deal with WTA to become the tour’s official data supplier.
Under the tie-up, Stats Perform will use its Opta analysts to collect detailed player performance data and rally statistics courtside for distribution to licensed betting operators, fantasy operator, over-the-top platforms, broadcasters, media, sponsors and fans.
Andrew Ashenden, chief betting officer at Stats Perform, said: “We’ve long discussed the opportunity with our customers to improve the fan and betting experiences for sports such as tennis through applying our data collection and AI expertise, and are delighted that GVC are aligned with our vision.”
Jamie McKittrick, commercial director at GVC, added: “The WTA tennis tour is very popular for bettors across our territories and using the best available in-play data means we can offer the best in-play experiences.
“We’re looking forward to creating a variety of innovative new betting experiences for our bettors.”
Stats Perform’s deal with the WTA adds to its portfolio of ultrafast betting data from top-tier soccer competitions, including Spain’s LaLiga, France’s Ligue 1, American league MLS, Japan’s J-league and Conmebol, as well as premier competitions in basketball, ice hockey, handball, volleyball and cricket.
