Servus TV secures ATP Cup rights in Germany

Servus TV, the Austria-based free-to-air channel owned by energy drink giant Red Bull, has acquired rights in Germany to the 2021 ATP Cup, the men’s national teams tennis tournament, taking place in Australia next month.
Under the deal with ATP Media, the broadcast rights sales arm of the ATP Tour, Servus TV will show all matches involving Germany, as well as the final, while selected matches will be streamed on the broadcaster’s website.
Servus TV takes over the exclusive rights in Germany from pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland, which showed the inaugural edition of the ATP Cup in 2020.
Sky also held non-exclusive rights in Austria and Switzerland, with Servus TV airing selected matches in Austria.
This year’s ATP Cup will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 1 to 5 February, ahead of the delayed Australian Open grand slam, from 8 to 21 February.
Germany’s Alexander Zverev and Austria’s Dominic Thiem are among the players that will take part in the team competition.
