Nascar and Instacart agree naming rights deal for Phoenix race

Instacart, an online food shopping service, has entered into an agreement with USA-based stock car racing series Nascar, to put its name to the upcoming race in Phoenix, Arizona.
The 2021 Instacart 500, as it will be known, will take place on 14 March, and will be the fifth race of this year’s Nascar Cup Series.
Julie Giese, president of the Phoenix Raceway, said: “Instacart has provided a very important service to our communities over the last year and we’re honoured to partner with them as we kick off the 2021 Nascar Cup Series events at Phoenix.”
This marks the second partnership within a matter of weeks that Nascar has struck with an online food-delivery service, after it entered into an agreement with DoorDash in late February.
DoorDash has become the official on-demand delivery platform of Nascar in a wide-ranging agreement that spans the sanctioning body and 11 Nascar-owned facilities.
