IndyCar brings in Imagen for internal content archive revamp
Motor racing - 02 Aug 2021
Penske Entertainment Corp, the owners of US motor racing’s IndyCar Series, has launched a new IndyCar-focused digital hub, in partnership with Imagen, a media management platform.
The new site will provide series stakeholders with “comprehensive access to the archive of digital content from the IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway."
The site will use the Imagen Pro platform for all internal stakeholders - media, race teams, all broadcast partners and sponsors - to download assets, including video, audio, images and news stories.
Users can register for the site at either content.indycar.com or content.ims.com, with archive content from the 2021 season already available.
Increased video footage will be a benefit of transferring to the Imagen Pro platform, Penske Entertainment has said, while the change of platforms also gives the corporation full control over “storing, managing and tracking the IndyCar and IMS media libraries”, through automated processes.
Imagen already counts sports properties such as English soccer’s Premier League, sailing’s America’s Cup, the Women’s Tennis Association, and baseball’s MLB amongst its customers.
Allison Melangton, senior vice president at Penske Entertainment, said: “The cloud-based Imagen Pro platform makes it easy for media, race teams and partners to find and access content quickly and efficiently from any connected device, while also providing us with many tools to build and manage our library.”
