Spring Media brokers SVT rights deal for tennis' Stockholm Open

SVT, the public-service broadcaster in Sweden, has acquired rights to show this year’s Stockholm Open tennis tournament on the men’s ATP Tour.

The ATP250 tournament will be aired on the SVT1 and SVT2 linear channels as well as the SVT Play streaming service.

The Stockholm Open will be played between October 15 and 23 at The Royal Tennis Hall in the Swedish capital.

Spring Media, the Sweden-based international sports media and marketing agency, advised SVT on the deal and will also produce the competition through its Spring Productions arm.

Thomas Enqvist, Stockholm Open tournament director, said: “I am very happy and proud of our partnership with SVT. Stockholm Open is the flagship of Swedish tennis and it is very important to inspire tennis fans throughout Sweden. SVT now gives us the opportunity to bring world-class tennis to everyone.”
