Ottawa, ON: Skate Canada announced today that it has been awarded the hosting of the 2007 Synchronized Skating Championship by the International Skating Union.

The historic 50th ISU Congress concluded on Friday 11 June in Scheveningen, the Netherlands.

A group of individuals, taking advantage of the presence of the ISU Skating Family and media, staged an orchestrated attack against the ISU at the 2003 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Washington, D. C.

Yang Yang won the 500m individual and 1000m team short track skating competition in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games and also became the first short track skater to win two golds in one Games.

The International Skating Union (ISU) and the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) regret to notify that the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating event will not take place in Phoenix (Scottsdale), USA on September 20-23 2001, as scheduled.
