On June 22nd, 2002 the Board of Directors of the International Snowboard Federation (ISF) voted, with one abstention, to follow the advice of its Executive Committee and declare insolvency of the ISF immediately. The lack of a credible solution to the financial difficulties and the missing support of past partners forced this drastic action. Therefore all ISF operations will cease immediately.

The 2001/2002 snowboard season is finished in the Northern Hemisphere and the ISF (International Snowboard Federation) is very much alive! The goals for the future are to stay away from the promotion of a professional snowboard tour with focus on being an 'International Governing Body for Snowboarding' creating the rules, officials, education, world, national & special rankings, an informative web-portal for the global snowboard community, and develop grassroots programs including the Junior Wor
