Organisers have announced that next year's World Squash Day will be on 19th March 2005.

Delegates attending the World Squash Federation (WSF) Conference and 33rd Annual General Meeting, held during the Men's World Team Championship in Vienna at the end of October, ratified the findings of a worldwide survey on scoring systems used in the sport.

The opening of the Squash Rackets Association's first Regional Performance Centre at the University of Birmingham coincides with a World Class Potential award to the sport's English governing body of more than £1.5 million.

The sports rights acquisition company Eye Group, based in London, has extended its link with the Squash Rackets Association to include sponsorship of the SRA National League.

The British Open Squash Championships will make the National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham its base for at least the next seven years, following an agreement confirmed jointly by Birmingham City Council, the Squash Rackets Association (SRA) and the intellectual property rights acquisition company Fablon Investments Limited.
