Following his recent election as British Eventing Chairman, Mike Tucker has decided to stand down from his position as Director of Windsor International Horse Trials. The Board have appointed Jonathan Warr as his replacement. Jonathan has been involved at Windsor for 10 years as course designer and was an integral part of the Management Team in this year’s newly launched fixture.

On the eve of this year's event, the organisers of Britain's largest indoor equestrian show announced today their future plans for the event. Grandstand Media Limited, who took up the reins of running Horse of the Year Show in 1997, have confirmed that they have signed a new three year contract with the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, which means that the event will take place at the venue until at least 2006.

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, has announced its title sponsorship of this year’s premier endurance event, now named the FEI Emirates Airline Open European Endurance Championships. Taking place in Punchestown, Ireland on Sunday 21st September 2003, the one-day event will be run over a 160 kilometre course through the picturesque Wicklow Hills, an area renowned as the ‘Garden of Ireland’.
