The Scottish Hockey Union has signed a new sponsorship with one of Scotland’s biggest law firms, Shepherd and Wedderburn, for both the men's Scottish Cup and the women's National League Cup tournaments.

Indian Hockey Federation (IHF), India’s apex body of hockey management, has launched an annual domestic hockey league. ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), Asia’s number one sports broadcaster and Leisure Sports Management (LSM) have worked closely with the IHF to develop the league. ESPN STAR Sports will telecast the hockey league LIVE and exclusive to millions of viewers for the next 10 years.

International electronics giant SAMSUNG is to become a global partner of the International Hockey Federation, it was announced 17th August at the Rabobank Hockey Champions Trophy in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The 10th FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup has announced the signing of the naming sponsor. The sponsorship of the Event by Goodman Fielder through the Meadow Lea label will be known as the Meadow Lea Women’s Hockey World Cup.

English Hockey - the governing body for Hockey in England - is set to unveil its revamped Hockey Online web-site on Monday 24 September 2001. And the sport says the upgrade is designed to boost monthly visitor numbers from 48,000 to 100,000 within twelve months.
