The Chief Executive who will deliver the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games has been appointed. John Scott, 56, will lead the Organising Company, the body responsible for delivering the Commonwealth Games. 

April 20th ,2004- Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahad, President, Olympic Council of Asia (OCA)nominated Eng. Abdulghani Tabblat, General Secretary, Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) as one of five members on the OCA Evaluation Committee, who will play a key role in deciding the venue for the 2010 Asian Games.

Further to the recently increased working relationship between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International World Games Association (IWGA), the IOC has appointed a representative to the World Games 2001, to be held in Akita (JPN) in August. The IOC Member in Japan Mr Chiharu Igaya, also Member of the IOC Executive Board, has accepted the assignment.
